Abstract. The article examines the constitutional legislation of the post-socialist countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The paper analyzes the legislation of such countries as Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Slovenia. The article presents a historical background that influenced the change of power in these countries, and, accordingly, the adoption of new legislative acts-Constitutions that consolidated the new democratic foundations of States.
