Social Consequences of Shadow Employment for Workers

Abstract. The article discusses the concept and main forms of shadow employment and analyzes its causes from the perspective of both employers and employees. It pays special attention to the social consequences for employees. The study also describes government counteraction measures, including legislative innovations and digital tools for legalizing employment. In conclusion, the article calls for an integrated approach to addressing shadow employment, combining control and supervisory measures, reducing barriers to legalization, and improving the financial literacy of employees.
