Abstract. The relevance of the study is underscored by the widespread use of shuttle running in athletic training. The ability to change direction is one of the key motor attributes critical for competitive performance in team sports. The study aims to systematize scientific data on the variations of the shuttle run and their diagnostic and training effects. Based on an analysis of empirical data, the main forms and variations of shuttle running are classified, demonstrating the need for an individualized selection of drills depending on specific training objectives and the target student population.
Keywords: shuttle running, physical qualities, athletic training, motor coordination, aerobic capabilities
