Abstract. The article underscores the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle (HLS) among food service industry workers. The study aims to determine the impact of HLS on the work performance and health of chefs and cooks. The methodology combines a theoretical analysis with an empirical survey of 35 respondents using Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The findings revealed a strong negative correlation between fatigue and the willingness to engage in physical activity (r=-0.72), as well as a direct positive correlation between overtime hours and back pain (r=+0.68). The study concludes that the primary barrier to adopting HLS is workplace conditions, highlighting the need for organizational optimization.
