Abstract. The article explores the development of cognitive activity in primary school students through the use of questioning techniques. The author proposes a practical system of questioning methods, including Bloom's Cube, Edward de Bono's Six Thinking Hats, Ask the Author, and the Question of the Day, tested in primary classroom settings. Based on experimental data, the study concludes that these techniques are effective in developing the cognitive activity of younger school children. The article presents diagnostic results, supported by statistical analysis, along with specific examples of the educational process organisation.
Keywords: cognitive activity, questioning techniques, primary school students
