Abstract. The paper explores the key challenges that arise when restoring the appearance of a ruined architectural monument, using the example of the Pink Pavilion in Peterhof. It identifies methods for restoring ruined monuments, taking into account the identified challenges related to insufficient historical data, the choice of materials, preserving authenticity, and the implementation of information modeling technologies. The paper also presents a concept for adapting the pavilion. The research highlights the importance of a comprehensive approach that combines the preservation of historical value with the resolution of contemporary challenges.
