Abstract. The article examines the distinctive features of translating Chinese phraseological units that incorporate a nature-related element and identifies their cultural and historical specificity. Phraseological units constitute an important component of the language system, reflecting national mentality, traditions, and cultural codes of native speakers. They not only enrich discourse, but also function as key markers in intercultural communication. Phraseological expressions with nature-related semantics are of particular interest, given their close connections to Chinese mythology, philosophy, and natural realities.
Keywords: phraseology, phraseological unit, chengyu, nature-related component, translation
