Abstract. This study has been fueled by the need for a reliable assessment of power system behavior based on its computer model. The significance of the research stems from the absence of a unified approach to the validation process for dynamic models of power systems. The aim of this paper is to analyze and compare various methods of dynamic model validation. Specifically, it examines different validation methods for dynamic computational models of an electric power system implemented in the Modelica language, the nuances of their application, their respective advantages and disadvantages.
Keywords: validation, dynamic model, calibration, configurable parameters, cost function, genetic algorithm, active power, voltage
