Abstract. The article examines the social infrastructure of Kostomuksha city from the perspective of children's well-being and parental involvement in their education and upbringing. It primarily focuses on the balance between work and family life, a critical issue for contemporary parents. While the analysis of children's infrastructure indicates that it is well-developed, a survey conducted among parents highlights the need for improvements in work-family balance. The findings of this research contribute to a deeper understanding of the peculiarities of social life in a young industrial centre.
