Abstract. The article presents the findings of a study on the career orientations of ordinary employees at a manufacturing company based on their locus of control. Differences and similarities in career orientations were observed among employees with either an internal or external locus of control. The results indicate that while there may be similarities in career orientations, the degree of their expression varies depending on an individual's locus of control. These findings can help enhance the effectiveness of personnel management in terms of motivating employee career development.
