Abstract. This article presents an analysis of mythonym usage in Russian poetry from the 1950s through the 1970s. The study aims to examine the composition, combinatorial patterns, frequency, and expressive functions of the names of ancient Greek gods — Zeus, Apollo, Hades, Hermes, Hephaestus, Dionysus, and Poseidon — in Soviet-era Russian poetry. The findings indicate that mythonyms were actively employed by poets of the studied period to create a diverse array of literary tropes and figures.
Keywords: mythonym, theonym, antonomasia, metonymy, metaphor, corpus linguistics
