Life of trading Finnish concentration camps during the occupation of Karelia (1941—1944)

Abstract. The article reveals the issue of the tasks of Finnish concentration camps in the occupied territory of the Karelian-Finnish SSR (KFSSR) in 1941-1944, provides data on the living standards of concentration camp prisoners. The main source of this study is the memories of concentration camp prisoners. Within the framework of the structural approach, the author indicated the main causes of death in concentration camps, and the author also draws an important conclusion about the irrationality of the work of prisoners, since the occupation authorities needed cheap labor to work at logging sites and in camps.
