«Tolstoyana, Studier och minnen» L. N. Tolstoi through the eyes of a Swedish journalist and missionary J. J. Stadling

 Abstract. L. N. Tolsstoi was remarkable figure in worlds literature, he met many of his foreign followers of his work, with some of which he began longstanding correspondence. One of them was swedish journalist Jonas Jonsson Stadling, who came to Russia 1892 to help starving peasants of Povoljie (Volga region) on behalf of foreign charitable societies. Like many other people who tied with Tolstoi, Stadling paid a large amount of attention to russian writers personality, which gave to swedish readers a big number of Stadligs personal memories about his communication experiene with Tolstoi. This publication is devoted to the content analysis of his last publication on this topic “Tolstoyana, Studier och minnen” (1906).
