Abstract. Annotation. Currently, the proportion of children with disabilities in small towns is gradually increasing, but not all small towns have social service institutions for disabled children. This problem can be solved both by developing a network of institutions for children with disabilities and by using new technologies for social services for children and their families. This article presents the results of a study of the content of social services for disabled children in small towns of the Leningrad region and the Republic of Karelia, using the example of social service institutions in Lodeynoye Pole (LOGBU "Lodeynopolsky center for social services of the population "Vozrozhdenie") and in the city of Sortavala ("Department of social rehabilitation of GBU SB "KTSON RK").
Keywords: disabled children, a family raising a disabled child, social services, social service institutions, small town
