Analysis of the relevance of the construction of a plant for sorting garbage in Karelia

 Abstract. The article is devoted to the problems of management of solid municipal waste in the Republic of Karelia. We consider the current situation in the region, are excerpts from federal laws, which clearly spelled out responsibilities of local authorities in the field of treatment of MSW. So, it makes analysis of the current environmental and legal situation in the region. The necessity of the reorganization of the existing territorial recycling schemes, and as a first step in the process prompted the construction of a waste sorting plant in the village Orzega.
