Abstract. This article focuses on the resurgence of goldwork embroidery as a distinctive form of artistic craftsmanship. It delves into the rich history of goldwork embroidery and its application in the headdresses of the Karelian Pomors, emphasizing the utilization of traditional craft techniques. Special emphasis is placed on the intricate methods and unique characteristics of embroidering with metallized gilded or silver threads.
