 Abstract. This article explores the rich history of Karelian pearls and delves into the techniques and tools used to extract, process, and incorporate them into traditional crafts. A significant focus of the research is on identifying the variety of these precious items found in local museum collections, as well as studying the intricate methods used in crafting decorative and functional artifacts like butterfly earrings, net-bottom pieces, and wreaths. The paper also sheds light on the unique art of pearl weaving and the significance these items hold.
