Abstract. Ensuring adequate protection of forests from fires remains an increasingly intricate challenge each year. This article evaluates how effectively authorized executive authorities are tackling this issue and scrutinizes financial, legal, and organizational measures aimed at establishing a more efficient system for planning and enforcing firefighting initiatives, which could reduce the occurrence of forest fires.
