Development of Educational and Cognitive Interests in Schoolchildren for Foreign Language Acquisition

 Abstract. This article explores the idea of educational and cognitive interest from the viewpoint of Russian researchers and uncovers the pedagogical factors that contribute to the successful cultivation of schoolchildren's interest in foreign language classes. It presents the findings of a diagnostic study and provides an analysis to identify the most prominent educational and cognitive interests of students, as well as interactive approaches that foster the development of interest and motivation among schoolchildren towards foreign language learning.
