Pine and Pine Forest in Northern Russian Dialects

Abstract. The article addresses the nominations of pine and pine forest in the dialects of the Russian North. The author presents a classification of such nominations identified in the dictionaries on the basis of semantic features characterizing the age of the tree, the place and features of its growth, wood quality, density and size of pine forest, and other parameters.
